AHH... 13 Days can seem so short but so LONG!

13 Days until I am on a plane back up the Canada.  It is always a bitter sweet kind of feeling that I have when it comes time to go back to school.  On one hand I love seeing everyone at school and in the dorm and going back to the family I have up there, But on the other hand I hate saying goodbye especially to my Mum.  

I suppose I just must make the best out of the time that I have here still.  

So far my plans for the rest of the break include going to Megan's house tomorrow, Tuesday: getting my hair done, seeing Tangled, and maybe shopping, Friday: our traditional New Year's Eve party and the Tuesday after that: Shopping with Cecilia.  I have plenty of time to fill in the blanks of course.  I do look forward to relaxing more too.  

I know I know... I still need to put more pictures... I need to get them all off of George (my camera) still... I just keep forgetting and I'm too lazy to do it too...

Well Until then, This post with NO pictures will have to do!

Merry Christmas!

Well, I have been on my Christmas break for a week now and have just gotten around to blogging.  I have been pretty busy baking and knitting and spending time with my family.  I have not had a chance to put the pictures on my computer yet so I'm not going to put any pictures on this post.  After Christmas, however, I will!

Well I must go make Parsnips Dressing for Dinner tomorrow.

FINALS

As I sit here trying to study (which is difficult), I think of how fast this semester has flown by.  Its already the middle of finals and that means the first semester of my second year is already at an end.  3 days from now I'll be on my flight home back to California for the Christmas Break.  But before then there is so much to do still.

Tonight I must learn all the information I need to know for my History final which is at 9 am tomorrow morning.  After my exam is over, I can only relax for a short time and then I must begin writing my take home final for Anthropology.  Once that is finished, I can relax for a short time unless it has not been finished until Tuesday.  Tuesday, I must study all day long for New Testament which the final is on Wednesday morning at 9.  But before Wednesday comes, I still need to be packed and ready to go so I won't be rushing to catch my flight after my exam on Wednesday.  There seems to just not be enough time in the world right now.  If I had an extra day to just pack and relax I would be much happier, however I don't but I do get to be home an extra day early.  I can't wait for Wednesday to just be here already!

Last Day of Class!

Well, Today I finished my last day of classes for my 3rd semester at University!

It was torturous sitting through history one last especially since the only thing we had done was watch a movie.

The rest of my week is going to consist of studying for every single one of my classes and also doing my Anthropology final.

Tonight for dorm meeting we gave our secret sisters their Christmas presents. For Whitney, I got her an awesome mug/bowl and candy. She loved it! So glad! Got it at Value for pretty cheap too!

My secret sister was Christine. I knew it was her but she played it off like it wasn't! 

Well anyways. She got me a hamster that I named Henry.

After dorm meeting we went and got free pancakes!

Then Casie, Jill, Deanna, Emily, Carly and I went and climbed onto the roof of Northwest and then from there we climbed on to this balcony and saw a couple making out on the couch and interrupted them as we climbed on and walked through.  We took a few pictures sitting on the stairs after our adventure.

It was a fun night!

Now I am up way to late and need to go to bed! Yikes! Good thing I get to sleep in tomorrow! No more 9am classes!!... until next semester that is!

Study Time!

Well, after my all nighter the other night, I have officially finished all of my papers and won't have to write anymore!! (well except for in finals and the one take home final I'll have)

Currently sitting in the LC people watching/ studying history/ eating 5 cent candies/ sitting here with Mel.

Can't wait to watch Glee tonight! Christmas episode! Although, I'm sad that it will be over for the rest of the year... but i'll be home soon and will be able to watch all the Christmas Specials my hear desires!

Well this new thing came out today... its called "like a little" and is found at likealittle.com.

Its pretty entertaining but pretty creepy at the same time... when you click on your school you can see all these posts about people and their crushes and who they are staring at... I'm wondering how long this is going to last for. Its actually funny to look and see what people write though.

Well I better get back to work before Mel figures out what I'm doing and bugs me hehe

Why do I do this to myself???

So I pulled my very first almost full all nighter last night.

Writing my history paper at the last minute was not the brightest idea that I have had.

Remind me to not do that again.

But I wasn't the only one up at 3 am...  Everyone else was too since the fire alarm went off.  I was one of the only ones who was still wide awake however.  

In order to keep myself up that late, I drank a coffee around 11 pm.  I will never do that again... I felt so gittery and the gitteriness didn't go away until around 3:30 to 4 this morning.

At around 2:30, some guy I didn't see really except that he was a guy, delivered a gift to the dorm.  He first quickly looked into the window and when he saw I was there, he quickly got out of the view.  He placed the present on the floor and then knocked and ran away.  And ten minutes later the fire alarm went off... I wonder if this mystery gift giver is the culprit of setting it off since he was up at that time, like me...

I finally finished my paper and made it to bed around 5 this morning and had to get up at 8 to print my paper and shower so I'd actually be awake.

I can't wait for my two classes to be over already today so I can climb back into bed and sleep before studying for my Spanish Oral that I have tomorrow.

As I sit here in my history class, I feel all gittery again from the lack of sleep. My arms and legs and head feels like jello and I can crash at any minute and just sleep.

I have considered sneaking out the back door and not coming back, however I won't because I am such a good student (and I have to turn in another paper at 10:00 in this same building so I might as well wait it out.

Well I better start paying attention now....

Package from Italy!

So, I was expecting a package from my parents.  I just though they were mailing me something from home, however when I got the package, it had postage from Italy on it and was wrapped in fancy packaging with drawings of Venice and things written in all kinds of languages.  

I brought it into the lounge were everyone was and they all watched in anticipation as I opened up the package.  I opened up the box and I found two beautiful masks from Venice.  One was a child sized one with purple feathers coming off of it and the other one is this one:

I was informed that one of them was for Melanie and so later today, she finally made it over and I gave it to her. She was very excited, like I was.  Although it was a kid size, it fits her! She has a narrow face so it worked out perfectly!  We plan on doing a photoshoot sometime next semester, so keep your eyes open for a blog post on my photography blog about that!

I was delivered flowers!

On Tuesday I received a phone call from Parent Relations saying that I had a gift to go pick up.  I was actually expecting the call, since my mum told me I would be getting something soon.  Well, I finally got this call and rushed on over to the Student Life Office to go pick up the surprise.  I walked in and asked for Diane and she came out and handed me the flowers with a card attacked.  

If you know me, then you should know how much I love flowers.  I buy them for myself all the time and so getting flowers that I didn't have to buy for myself was just delightful!

Thank you Mum for the lovely flowers! They have made my week so much better and will help me get through the rest of the semesters and finals!

Monday... Why can't you come already!

Why oh why do I do this to myself? I always seem to wait until the very last minute to get papers done.  If I had done all of these papers a few weeks or so ago then i could have started studying for finals already but NOOOO of course I had to procrastinate waaaay too much for my own good!

And on top of having papers due my printer has decided to break on me... Every time i tried to print the paper would get jammed and so I decided I was going to try and fix it or at least figure out what the problem was.  I figured it out and nope I can't fix it... One of the rubber band things is completely missing! I have NO idea where it is or what happened for it to have done this.  So now with all my papers to do and no way of printing them in the comfort of my own room, I must resort to using someone else's or going to the library to print them.

All I can say is "I can't wait until Monday afternoon!"

Thats when I'll be done handing in my papers and what not and will only have to focus on studying for finals for the rest of the week and semester!

Well I must be finishing this paper that I'm more than halfway done with, so I can go out tonight and enjoy myself and not stress over these things.

So much to do... Plenty of time to do it? (NOPE!)

So here I am again 11:30 on a Monday night trying but failing to write another paper... At least I have all day tomorrow to get it done!

This paper is quite difficult! I'm writing on Consumerism during the Christmas and Holiday Season.  I'm not too sure if I will be able to argue in this paper, but in the end I always get it done and they always turn out good.

Little under three papers to write! (Since I do have around 400 words written thus far.)

I did get most of my research done for this paper at least! Thats a good place to start!

Off to bed to wake up early for my one and only class for tomorrow, Philosophy! Then I will write the paper and do laundry for tomorrow!

Why can't writing a paper come to me as easily as writing this blog??

Ugh... Papers...

So, here I am with 8 days left of class and 4 papers to write.

I am almost finished with one of the many papers that I must turn in tomorrow.  As for the rest of them, I have topics for them but not much else.  One is due this coming Thursday while the other two are due next Monday.  I don't know why I always tend to put things off until the last minute.  Its just the way my brain works I suppose.  When it comes to writing papers, I can't actually get them done until they are due and there is pressure beating down on me to get them finished.

27 Days Until Christmas and 17 Days until I will be back home in California! Can't way!
